Hi all, I broke off the protrusion that the hose from the header tank fits onto at the t-stat housing cover (hope that you know what I mean there!)
1 Has anyone else done this before? 2 How did you fix it? (As opposed to buying a new one from FORD!!!!) 3 How much did FORD charge (rob?) you for a new housing? (kinda answers question two eh!)
Looking forward to your input....

I checked the junkyard, and came up with a big zero.
Local Lincoln Mercury bringing one in for tommorrow $30 CAD + taxes. Lesson for self, don't try to lever against anything on this car, it's plastic and will break!!

When I was fighting with the powersteering pump, I accidently caught the line in the clip for the hood prop. *snap*

I would not trust a glue joint exposed to heat and pressure!
Is this the tube back to the reservoir tank, or is it a circulating part of the cooling system?

Hey Paul, yeah it's the tube going back to the reservior (header tank) The glue I used is a two part resin which I have used with great success on many applications over the years (dries hard like plastic), however, I bit the bullet and had the local Lincoln Mercury Dealer bring in new T-stat housing cover (PN RH-42) from out of province for the "Good Guy" price of $30 CAD + tax. I'll pop it on when I get a 180F T-stat from town.
Off topic, but did you have any luck with that E-Ram gadget? If so, does it work?
Thanks

The e-Ram works, but not very much. I haven't dynoed it (though I suppose I will be able to when I get around to doing a custom chip), but I think it's yielding only like four horsepower at the most.
