wow.... 152 or there abouts?

damn, thats all i gotta say

That was acutally awhile back when I had a car full of people and before I had the Y-pipe and the MAF now I am able to pin it at 160 mph pretty easy

Oh and if your wondering why I say that my friends Red GT is slow is because I used to beat him all the time when he was stock when we would race till he got that Off road X-pipe Now he beats me but not for long...

Yo Dirty,

That's a very good top speed. I didn't believe it myself until you showed me that handicam video of it. I wonder what the fastest Contour SVT on CEG is ? It sounds like your car is, unless some of the Nitros or Turbo guys can speak up.

Peace,
Tim

Just b/c it indicates 160 or whatever doesn't mean you're actually doing that...the speedos are fairly inaccurate at those high speeds. If you show 160 on a radar gun... THEN i'll be damn impressed.

That's what I thought at first, too, as the top speed of a CSVT is rated at around 143-145. But a 15mph difference is really, really inaccurate....

Yea I thought the same thing before but I've raced a Z28 before and once he hit 145 I pulled like nothing he was very impressed but I don't really know how fast I was going being that it was pinned at 160. He was right at my back bumper til he hit 145 and then I pulled away and away. I've done this plenty of times to GTs and so on that top out at 145 unless they are nodded hehe But all I know is next time I travel and I see one of those speed signs I'm doing a U turn to test it out.

And if any one in central Tx has a handy radar gun I will be happy to test it out.

Oh yea and as far as being the fastes goes I'm sure there are quite a few guys with beffed up SVTs that just aren't crazy enough to try to top out their car.

Yo, you should get your car dyno'd sometime. Maybe you have a factory freak!

So what's your point? I'd consider it flattery myself. Sharkey on here was asking me what it would look like if he did SVT on the lower rear doors. He doesn't surf much and didn't know someone had already done it. So maybe this guy didn't get the idea from someone else.

Yea I really want to although I did have it Dyno'd at the last national meet in Dallas and I Dyno'd at 179 hp and 158 tq and that was with KKM, Aluminum Intlet Pipe and No Resinator. My friend with the T-red SVT had the same mods and Dyno'd only 4 less hp than me and same tq.

I promise to get it Dyno'd before the end of August.
