yeah im gonna have the rear of the subs in the cabin, so you can see the basket sticking up through the rear deck. Its not quite finish yet, but i'll update the pics as i make progress.
The rear deck was fairly easy to remove, the only trouble may be the rear brake light, but mine had been removed due to excessive rattling. Once you remove the round black push clips, there are four slide type clips under it. YES the seatbelt is a PITA. THat sheetmetal on it is fairly thick and you have to get at some awkard angles to get most of it. Ill probally cut an rectangular port in the middle of the two 8" subs to let some bass in from my two 15"s in the trunk.
Im also working on an 4way component system that includes Tweets, 4",5.25",6.5" speakers in the front two doors, just for poots and giggles.

ok, that is making more sense now.
i would highly suggest not doing a 4 way system, you will only compromise your sound.

If you are doing the custom work, I woudl shoot for a 3 way with an 8 a 5.25 and a tweet.

OR how about a 6.5", 3", and a tweet
I wonder how that material flexes when those subs hit, and how much air it leaks.

That could also be a good combination. The only reason I recommended the 8 was for the extra midbass performance it would offer. The inner door panel would have little to no flexing the air leaks could be an issue and depend entirely on the install.

i just want to get access to the rear shelf sheet metal. so i'll have to remove the 3rd brake light and middle seat belt? then the carpeting stuff. i need to gain access for screwing my amp rack shelf to secure it good.
