I got raped by one at the track a few times. For some reason I'd always get lined up next to this guy. All stock looking besides the slicks on the back. My first run against him, I heard his boost spool up when the tree lit, and I shat myself. Thanks to his loud turbo, I pulled a .502 reaction out of fear, I dumped the clutch and took off. I was in my Ranger at the time, while this guy was running 9's, I was running 18's. It was beautiful

then they are doing something absolutely completely wrong to that car. mine held 20 psi perfectly, only thing that ever went out was the main seal in the tranny, had it rebuilt with a new stall. i've seen plenty running 10's on 'stock' engines... and are fine, so whatever they are doing, it must be crazy.

i don't mind, it wasn't fully mine, it was my fathers and we got it on thanksgiving day for 4 grand, and sold it for 8 after being repainted, turbo rebuilt, new cam button, boost controller, new tires, new exhaust w/ 3" downpipe and intercooler, and all new badges all the way around. only thing it didn't have was the turbo shroud, the guy who owned it before us painted it some assy red color and my dad took it off, it burned the hood liner, and that was replaced before it was sold.
car went 14.1 on street tires when it was first bought.
main seal went out, while driving on i4, and car wouldn't go anywhere, transmission was rebuilt with a new stall.
the moron who owned it before tried to make it a GNX , by putting on the fender levours(sp?) and knockoff GN rims.
the 'dual' exhaust was removed in place of a single 3" exhaust with a magnaflow muffler from a 3" downpipe which the rear part exited just before the passenger rear tire.
the speedo was disconnected 90% of the time to keep miles off of it, it had 53,078 miles when bought and somewhere around 60,000 when sold.
only things werent replaced was the original speedometer face (it was white when we got it), the window motors (slow as hell) and a few other things, never got around to finding a set of real GN rims.. so the fakies stayed.
if you got anymore questions feel free to call, or call my father, we'll be glad to tell you anything else you might want to know about the car, or any of his other cars that he has had, or has right now.

I hope you let the guy that bought it know this...
...but then why disconnect the speedo in the first place?
Not driving something keeps miles off a car. Disconnecting a speedo doesn't; that action is otherwise known as fraud.
Hope I'm off-base on my assumptions here.
