A) No, that would be too slow. c'mon grapsing for straws on that one
B) My track, and prolly all subsequent tracks in Canada are MPH to keep it understandable. See we get N. American National Championships every year at my "downhill" track, kinda dumb to have to make you guys change it to KPH. For example look at mine And no I was for sure not going 49.2 Mph, but 82 MPH.

I dont think anybody really has an answer for you. nobody thinks that you're lying either. I was looking at the slip, and your times almost were identical to the car you raced. was the lane you were in posting high MPH all day? something seems like it was definitely wrong with the equipment. Did you race both lanes or just the one? that could shed some light on this.

The track I run at has MPH for the 1/8 and/or the 1000ft. Its a pity they don't at yours. Might make some more sense of it.
The only thing I can think of is that the whole system was off a bit, not just for one run, but the whole day.

The only 2 things I can think that would do it is A) The trap speed gun was pointed cock-eyed B) You left your radar detector on down the track and it tricked the gun. Make scense to anyone?

Trap speed gun being cock eyed would really make some sense. Questtion then would be were both tracks running the same high ETs?

No, simply because your trap speeds are NOT taken with a radar gun. The track timing system records the time it takes you to travel the last 60 feet of the 1/8 and the 1/4 mile (or anywhere they give trap speeds on the track), then compute your average speed over those 60 feet by doing the following equation:
VELOCITY = DISTANCE / TIME
Obviously the timing system at that track is screwed up, because those speeds are no way realistic.
