Drain the coolant before removing the side tranny side cover. You have to remove the T-Stat hosing (on a V6) to maneuver the side cover off. Also, if you already have TC slip then you must replace the TC, in this case, pull the engine and then do the VB.
I got my TC from transtar inds. But autozone can order one for $139. the V6 and 4 cyl use different TCs F69 and F67. If I remember the F69 is for the V6.
IGY, ATC has TCs also, but shipping is a lot.
