It was a blast.
I think the best part was this older guy in a beat up miata that he picked up for $500. I had a hard time keeping up with him in the turns (he had track rubber and much more experience than me - a combination hard to overcome
) but I completely owned him on the straights. If I let him pass me I'd have to modulate the gas to keep from running him over.
I told him before going out on one of the sessions that we'd have to be on opposite ends of the pack because we were constantly in eachothers way. He said he'd look for me once he got on the straights and wouldn't see me so he'd concentrate on the road. Next thing he knew he'd hear me letting off the gas b/c I was right on his tail!!
His expression was great.
We took a video and from the far end of the track you can hear my exhaust over EVERYONE'S. It's awesome.
