I ran the Fresh Diagnose benchmark on my computer (AMD thunderbird 1.3ghz) It showed something like, how it runs or whatever that it's nearly twice as fast (not the ghz part, but like its processes) as a pentium 4 1.6ghz ....

here is a CPU benchmark from SiSoftware sandra on my system:





yeah me running at 3200+ speed that puts me almost at what a 3.2 Pentium 4 with hyperthreading does for the ALU BUT the FPU I get killed and that is what games and video editing and encoding using.


and note I showed with and with hyper threading on a 3.2 Pentium 4.
and to me benchmarks doen't mean too much... real world apps mean more and no I don't me things like a timedemo in a game cause those are so easy to cheat.

With regards to the FPU would unlocking your multiplyer help at all? Perhaps this would add stability and the ability to OC even higher. Just a thought.

it is unlocked already comes that way from AMD on the Tbredsthe 1700 runs on a 11x133mhz where I am running at 12.5x180mhz


but actually the higher front side bus will help more than anything
