I have never run an AMD without some aftermarket cooling solution, so right there any price difference you would have had between the Intel and AMD chips goes out the window. Lance pointed out the thermal protection built into the P4 that on its own is worth the extra cash. The fans on the intels are very quiet, and do a great job.
