I had the dealership replace the timing belt.

My current klicks are 192000. (120,000 miles). Common wisdom is to replace every 100,000 klicks. Unfortunately the guy from whom I bought the car, though anal about oil changes, fixing annoying squeaks, etc., forgot to replace it at the first 100,000 klicks! I've got all the receipts for every oil change, muffler, and misc. service ever done on the car but it had the original timing belt!
Cost = $1200.00. $300 for aftermarket cat., $220 for timing belt, $250 for idlers, the rest for labour ($72 /hour). This is all in $Cdn which (as of today) is approximately $850 US. Not too bad since everything was fixed right the first time.

I should mention that the transmission shop did the diagnostic on the ATX free of charge!
A/C was another $450 Cdn. (2.5 hours labour + $250 for the part + taxes).
