Catfish is near the bottom of my list for for freshwater fish eating. Bream (shellcracker), bass, and crappie taste better, have better texture, and are less fatty than the sewage eating, bottom feeding cat.
On the bait thing, what a bunch of hypocrites. Typical that no one cares about the ugly animals; only the cute, playful, furry ones seem to matter.
