With enough cash, you could get your mom's station wagon to run 9's.

I owned a '68 Charger that had a very built 440 Magnum, 4-speed, and 4.11 gears. The car dynoed at about 460hp to the rear wheels (458 IIRC). The car was all-steel, and the best run I ever had (on slicks) was 11.84. Now, I spent a considerable amount of $$ on the suspension to get it to hook up, and it still had traction problems, but given that time with an NA, single 4bbl motor with only 11:1 compression, you could very well get a stock bodied Charger into the 9's if you had the $$.
