Totally wrong. I've aligned about 6 cars today, all with aluminum wheels. Damage to the wheels? None at all.

Total, utter BS.

Many high-end shops use tools that have Delrin or some other sort of polyester "boot" to fit on the end of their mounting tools.

That way no scratches are incurred.

Call him on his BS when you pick it up. What a prick.

What he said.

The only possible scratch marks you can get from alignment tool would be 4 small (1/4") marks on the outside lip of the rim where the rim meets the tire. This is where it is clamped onto the rim, and it would be from complete carelessness as it only needs to be snugged down to keep the tool from falling off or changing position.

ok so here is an update with the @$$holes at Mr. Tire

today was supposed to be my appointment at the wheel fixing place. The dick at mr. tire told me it would take about 2 weeks to get an appointment and once the car was there...it would only take a day to get the wheels finished.

I drive all the way out to this place which isnt that far but its about 20 minutes away from my house. shine them up some to show all the marks that the dick head put in them.

i take a few pictures

go up to the guy and said ok im here to drop off my car to get my wheels fixed...my appointment is under Mr. Tire.

"so when can i pick up my car today?"

"oh your car isn't going to be ready for 2 weeks"

"WHAT!?!?!? The guy at Mr. Tire told me 1 day!!!"

"well its first come first serve and all those wheels on the ground there are in front of you."

im not going to have wheels available to put on the car for another 2-3 weeks and by the time i get these wheels back they wont even be going back on the car...ill be at school...

arrrrrrrrrggg what a friggin' liar

damn dude, tell the guy at mr. tire you want a rental car b/c your car will be w/out wheels for a while, get a nice one too. there's a place in Tysons where you can rent Mercedes and Porsches and other high end cars. but, you have to be at least 24
