Well the rain held and I went to 75-80 Dragway in MD last night. First run I made in the Rsx Against a 350Z with Veilside kit. 15.2 with 2.5 60 ft (holy wheel spin batman).
.757 reaction though and I beat the 350Z (he ran 15.1).
Hopped in the Daytona, 15 psi no nitrous. 2.06 60 ft, miss shift from 2nd to 5th (wtf?) and ran a 14.6.. Ok so I ran the acura 5 times, best time was 14.61 at 97 with a 2.3 60 ft. Ran against an EVO 4 times and won every race, his best was a 14.8 (Couldn't drive). Ok.. crying time.. in The Daytona I line up with a TransAm WS6, 17 psi of boost (Still safe).. 1.98 60 ft (drag radials at 21 psi). I look over at the 1-2 shift and the TransAm guy is looking at me with shock, I am grinning ear to ear, I pass the 1/8 mi and shift into 3rd, boost is good, suddenly I feel a surge, look at my boost gauge.. 35 psi.. BAm BAM bAM...
My manual boost controller fell off. I made it out, got my slip (13.8, and that was coasting after 3rd gear). Car wouldn't start after I parked it. I pulled all the plugs, strangely they didn't look like I had massive detonation. So I am hoping I just rocked my head gasket. I will post vids soon if anyone cares to see them.

I'm confused... Are these both of your cars? Good runs.. 13.8 in a Daytona.. I love those cars. The rsx ran well too. 14.6, what mods? I heard yuo can get these to 14.0 pretty easily.

Yeah they both are mine. The Acura has intake, reflashed computer, motormounts and short throw shifter. Still on stock tires so I am not hoping for any better than 14.5 (best so far) until I upgrade tires. I ran different combo's of lauching and tire pressure to no avail. I need sticky tires. Falkens is what I am thinking..

Though when I ran the 14.5 I had no motormounts, and it did sprinkle last night a little so the track was a little wet. Who know's... everyone was running slow for the most part.
sr20det swapped 240SX ran once against me, 14.9, he couldn't hook up. A nice little setup though. Lots of potential

cool.. Thats still impressive for a NA 4 banger. I used to have a 99 Si, and it wasnt even close to mid 14's NA. I just reread the post, and didnt notice that you blew the daytona up. 13.8 coasting.. what was your mph? hopefully it will be an easy fix. Later

Like 99 or 98 I am at work and left the slips at home, I am going have to look again. I lifted mid to late 3rd gear after it blew, shifted into fourth and coasted.. so sad..

Side note, my friend just called, he knows the guy who owns the EVO, said he was a crappy driver, so I guess with a better driver behind the wheel those things can rock. BTW I ran the evo 3 times not 4 :/ I would get the hang of that AWD launching fast before I get embaressed on the street, because you know everyone and their mother is going to want to run you...

that really sux about the Daytona. i'm not too crazy about the EVO's, at first I was, but everytime I see them, it looks soooo ricey IMO..

wow man you are runnin some serious boost in that daytona...I'm scared to see dyno results.

I thought about putting it on the dyno once, there is only one within 2 hours of my house. I rode by one afternoon and stopped in, the guy builds turbo dsm and honda cars. He looked under my hood and started laughing his butt off. Pointing out to his buddy my extra injectors (saab cold start injectors hooked up to pressure switches) My engine bay isn't show standards but its semi-clean install and fabrication, plus I did it all for under 3000. (Car included) He commented multiple times about my primitive setup.. So I wasn't too hot to have him put it on the Dyno, though I could have just to prove him wrong.. Oh well start on the engine again (if I did detonate and melt a piston). Make it stronger. I think this time I will use bigger injectors and adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Also looking to add piston oil squirters.... That is if I have to start over again.
