Radio died and I tried to replace with no success. I now suspect that the problem might be a blown amp. Is there someway to check this? Can it be bypassed?

Any suggestions on a replacement HU? Not a lot of money but I would like something that has decent sound.

Anything from any good brand will sound better than the stock stereo. I have a Kenwood and my friend has Pioneer and I can't hear much diff between the two. Just get one that has at least 40W/ch and some preouts if you're thinking of expanding it one day. Oh, and bypass the factory amp too.
