apologies also for the tardiness here, but we are sticking to the original plan - even if we've done it before, it's a proven formula!
This Saturday, 8/2: Meet between Noon and 1pm in Swanton VT, which is exit 21 off US I-89. Coming south from the Canada/US Border at Highgate (Canada route 133), it's the 2nd exit. Go West on Vermont route 78 (go right if you're coming South, left if you're going North), and very shortly you will see a McDonald's and a shopping center parking lot. We'll find someplace in that lot to congregate.
After a meet-and-greet, we'll go on a driving tour of Northern VT, I'll have some maps, and we can decide how far we want to go based on the crowd and weather. Plan on maybe 2-3 hours of cruising through the mountains of VT. We'll end up at my house in the Burlington VT area, for a BBQ, party, working on cars (plenty of garage space) and general sillyness. There's plenty of room for people to crash here (but if someone has an electric pump for air mattresses, that would be helpful). Just give me a heads up if you want to join, or if you want to meet directly at the house (perhaps around 5pm) so I can plan accordingly.
