I've searched and i've found several ways to install it, but i was wondering which method is best? I'm kind of scared to break stuff and glue it back together and bend stuff and all that... Anything less destructive?

Installed mine with the 'break and glue method' that you're referring to. I preferred this to the 'bend the tabs' method 'cause I wanted to retain the inner cup assembly.
It's been on for more than a year with no problems.

The old thread seems to be gone - maybe someone still has the info in detail.

As I recall:
Remove one screw that secures the plastic cup.

Twist CCW and remove the entire door assembly.

Carefully break apart the hinge side and remove the stock door.

Use epoxy to reglue hinge side.

Mount the Bullit door to the plastic frame with two long screws (don't remeber the details, but they were placed in specific positions so they would not interfere with the mounting tabs.

Use epoxy to glue the remining short screws in place.

Reinstall door assembly with a CW twist.

Reinstall screw.
