So make a few extra bucks elsewhere... I'd say put a deadline on payments for the GB, then release remaing kits to the public (business point of view)...but then again, as long as these guys have been waiting for this kit w/ many completion date promises, I doubt that a deadline would fly. Just an observation...

that was really intense....I think the problem is that a lot of the people who haven't paid have put money down and just not paid in full. If you sell their spots then you have to send their money back, thats got to be a pain in the ass for someone with a paypal account.

After months and months of not paying in full, Kaotic should just keep the deposit and sell the spots. Deposits are not usually refundable in the real world, thats why its called a deposit.

Yeah, I don't think Kaotic is sending any deposits back for people that back outta this GB and I don't blame them either. If you want the kit, send the money, if you don't, you shouldn't have sent in a deposit.

Obviously the shop will not lose money, but its efficiency is lost. If you have 32 guys paid up front, that buying power allows him to get all materials at once. Suppliers allow discounts when you buy large quantity, its a fact of life. SO by him buying only for ten at a time (so to speak), he is losing margin. And since the original interest was so high, now his cost is higher and he could even lose money per kit. Not saying he wont make a dime, but if you had 32 people and only 17 paid, its not a good ratio this late in the game.
This is why I pushed to get payments earlier in the game, everyone has money till its time to pay the bills....
