I just had a question concerning a certain brand of headunits: my pioneer is messing up bad, ejecting the cd without warning, all the buttons on the face will freeze up and not work, I'll admit that the radio is over 5 years old and needs to be replaced. Anyway, BestBuy has a brand called DUAL  that I was thinking about buying, my money is pretty tight right now and I can get one on sale for 100 bucks, it is 50wts. with a detachable face and a remote control, but I can't find anything on this brand anywhere, has anyone ever heard of it or bought one? I can only afford about a hundred bucks for a radio right now, and it sounds like it would be alright. I will be getting a Alpine in the future but I don't have the cash right now. any help is appreciated!

I've seen that there also, it looks cool lit up all red. If you've got the 20 or 30 bucks extra to spare for the extended warranty on it, it probably wouldn't be a bad deal. If anything does go wrong, just return it for a new one. I'd go for it if you can afford the warranty with it.

i don't know man...i'd shop around...usually one place or another will have a name brand for about $100 bucks sometimes less...check out sears(i know i know its sears)but usually they have a name brand low end model for $100 or less...i'd check around and find a better name brand for the same $$$....

Im a best buy Installer and i Hate them Peice of shits!!!!! you would honestly be better to spend 50 dollars more and get the DEH-3500 Pioneer. Duals are a peice of [censored]. Speaking of that i replaced one in the store today cuase it would randomly change stations.
There really cheap and acctually one of the decks Best buy makes the most money off of.
Also the DEH-1500 pioneer is the same cost as the dual..

www.ikesound.com has a pretty good blau CD player for 105.00 and a Blau MP3 capable CD player for 155.00.

thats what I was going to suggest, I have seen the DEH-1500 for about $112. I just bought the DEH-3500 for my Contour. It looks like a really nice player.

Thanks for the replies, I was really considering getting the DUAL, but I think I will shop around a little more or stick it out with what I got until I can afford something nice.
