Since they swore to obey all of the Constitution AND ALL of the Amendments. The Initial Constitution didn't include the Bill of Rights. Not sure who all where involved in ratification of 11th and 12th Amendments, but those were done during Founders Generation too. Then you have the 13th Amendment, passed by some very patriotic people. Not that there is anything wrong with opposing Amendments. Since even Amendment about Prohibition was repealed just fine.. All I know is that some politicians misconstrue the constitution and what it was supposed to mean. Most of the research I have done is on the second amendment. If I could erase my first answer I would. Edit: I shouldn't have hopped in on this one, although I feel I am a patriot. I do not know all of the amendments that have been implemented in the last couple hundred years and I shouldn't make myself look like a dumbazz by assuming.
