First off never buy cross drilled. They crack very often. And are expensive.

Slotted and dimple drilled provide the most stopping power, heat dissipation, and fade resistance but, they also eat pads up very quickly. Thats the price you pay for performance. They look damn good though.

Slotted are good at dissipating heat and resisting brake fade which also increases braking performance slightly.

Dimple drilled has the same effect as cross drilled with out the cracking.

As far as brand I don't know. Do some research. Find some that give you what you want performance/price.
