Just want to clarify that paper cone and small magnet do not necessarily mean they are junk. There are many speakers used in home systems taht use these attributes in speakers costing several times amount of most replacement audio drivers. The reason for a huge magnet is to provide the force to drive cones that are extremely heavy with reasonable effeciency. The purpose of a heavy cone is to make the enclosure smaller (ala JL W6 models and Kicker Solo-Barics)
That being said, the premium sound systems are just slightly above what i would consider junk. but with a good tweeter and custom crossover they can actually provide remarkably smooth midrange. I still replaced mine with MB Quarts, and then replaced those by Vifa drivers.
Good luck with your system.
