A mufflers shop will cut out the res and put in a piece of straight pipe for about $50. (That's all there is to it...) I thought mine was only slightly louder and a good first exhaust mod. (The wifey didn't even notice
) Ask to keep your old resonator in case you don't like the sound. (You can get it welded back in...) You could also install a magnaflow straight through res for about $50 more. Benefits: Slightly more open exhaust for better mid/upper pull, slightly better gas mileage, slightly cooler engine temps.
