The factory Motorcraft filter is a good one as is a Purolator who makes the Motorcraft filter. The only one you really need to stay away from is Fram (as well as the ones Fram is the supplier for including Pennzoil and Quaker State).

which means steer clear of walmart... my walmart (supercenter) only stocks fram fuel filters...

Ola , Jim! I wasn't aware you'd returned to the "show". Good to see your handle back in the mix.

Yeah, judging from its housing, the fuel filter for the SVT seems to be about the same, large size as the filter for my old XR4Ti. Based on that, I was hoping OEM was the way to go. Simplifies things.

No problem there. I've never been a fan of anything made by Fram.
