SMELLY the SFG2 superchip code works very well on the SVT, it's the code I have and Kurtz does a good job burning them.
Get the standard code, it will more than suffice unless you have FI or different injectors..
maybe for headers or MAF
The SFG2 code will raise your REV limiter to 7500-7600 RPMS..
your secondaries will open up about 4-500 rpms earlier than what you see them doing now..
I see you sent me a PM on the "knock sensor mod"
you have to realize if you do this you do it at your own RISK!
Knock sensors on the SVT are screwed into the rear block,
if it detecs "knock" it will signal the computer and the computer will RETARD timing = less power.
Knock sensors are good but sometimes TOO sensitive, sport compact car does this to inconsistent cars on the dyno.
Knock sensors if too sensitive can and will detect other noises from the engine and deem them as harmful even though their normal and thus retard timing.
You must have a healthy engine or this isn't a mod I recommend.. and you better know your A/F is pretty good.
you can remove the knock sensor from block.. wrapp in a small towel of sorts and zip tie it somewhere safely. You must leave the sensor plugged or the computer will probably get a CEL and the computer will retard timing all across the rev band. Also, you must run a GROUND from the sensor itself to a good ground connection. In stock mode the block grounds the sensor.
The right way to do it is to run a 500,000 ohm resister from the (i believe from the left terminal) of the plug itself.
it doesn't add power it just makes your car more consistent..
my car was very inconsistent..one day it felt like a 1.6 vtec turd si and another like a v8 beast..
I couldn't figure it out until I read up on the timing issue and what affects it..
anyways my car runs great everyday now..
oh one more thing.. my friend with the SE v6 contour swore that every car comes with knock sensors..
they DON't
his SE v6 didn't!
