Also, one quick question about the Street FLIGHT (not fighter) turbo kit: Doesn't the water circulating throughout the rear tank eventually get hot after constant driving, and then inturn cause the intercooler to become way less efficient? Seems like this system would only work right if you always kept ice in the tank or something? And in the trunk, the temp would stay really hot in the summertime I would think just from sitting in the sunlight all day? Has anyone conducted any efficiency tests on these water to air intake-air coolers to find out if they work efficiently in a constant duty atmospere?

oh geez! dont even get me started again! that guy doesnt know what hes talking about. basically he thinks with the 24lb injectors, the stock fuel pump, the crappy tuning that Street Flight does, and not to mention he claims none of them know what they are doing especially when it comes to placing an air/air IC on the contour, its causing everyone to blow engines because everyone is running lean.

a couple people have busted some ringlands on some 99 motors due to cylinder pressure, NOT detonation. Theres a post in the 3.0L branch about this thats stickied at the top titled "Piston durability" that explains this. Both of the motors were running minimal amounts of boost ~ 6psi. I highly doubt it was due to running lean.

and yes, efficiency tests have been done. warmonger has calculated an 80% effeciency with his intercooler WITHOUT ice!

he even bashes the idea that SF is using a water/air intercooler, yet he sells a kit WITHOUT an IC and BOV. Makes no sense.
