Hi, thanks to all who replied. I have a new Blaupunkt Boston (I like the way it looks and it's supposed to dim with the dash lights, we'll see...) on the way from Crutchfield. I played around with every brand but Blaupunkt at Best Buy and they all played a CDR that won't play in the Contour deck, so I'm hoping it will work. My daughter's $29 discman even plays that particular CD. It is beyond me why Ford never offered a decent stereo in the Contour, they could at least of had a nice system for the SVT.
