His name is Austin Meyer. He wrote the most realistic flight sim ever, X-plane. It's not like we're close friends, but I know him through a friend and we all went to NYC a few years back together. He is featured in the August 2003 issue of Popular Science. This is the most (and only) somewhat famous person I know. If you get a chance, read the article. The detail in the game and the lengths he has gone to make it realistic are simply astounding. Even when we went to New York, he spent most of the time writing software. He is also very much a geek, but cool somehow. Also, check out www.X-Plane.com . BTW, the article mentions him owning a 1987 vette, it's actually a 1997. That is all.
