That's how the kit is designed, no redline for turbo folks
I offer PnP Heads for all durtec's details at PnPheads.com or jesse@pnpheads.com for details.

Chip is used to control timing and size injectors.
The mass airflow sensors on our cars reads the amount of air and if the injectors are large enough it automatically adds the correct amount of fuel. Simple enough. No fuel trickery required and thats the beauty of a MAF.
Of course if your turbo is swallowing a lot of air it may exceed the stock maf capability like mine did, then you get a bigger one and use the flow data to program the chip so the computer knows how to read it. It isn't necessary to calibrate the injectors to the maf since the computer does it all. If it knows how to read the maf signal and it knows its injector size it will add the correct amount of fuel...or close to it. Fine tuning is necessary.

naynay it ain't true... (go ahead and laugh the few that get that one)
I strongly suggest doing a lot of research about automobiles, forced induction, electronic engine control systems, etc before asking questions as such....
You say you have all this experience and then come back with beyond newbie questions...

I just watched a black one run auto X yesterday, man, when that turbo gets a chance to kick in... Except a HIGHLY modified supercharged Camaro SS stole the show.. a friend of mine videoed his first run Clicky (watch his final lap as he gains confidence) the batteries were dead for his next 3 runs which consisted of awesome powersliding and fast times. He also taped the EVO VIII I'll see if he can convert those and host them for us.

I saw an EVO VIII at the local track running 14.2 consistantly. Of course the track is a bit slow, but I thought for sure it would run faster than that. Probably not launching hard enough.

Yeah, the 3" exhaust really woke that car up, along with raising the boost psi
