It has an input for a cd changer, md changer, or tv, which is a standard rca jack but it is in the back of the radio. You could reach it by running a cord to the back of the radio through the glove box (which is where my md changer is) and leave the cord in the glove box. When you want to plug in the cassette or whatever you are using, just open the glove box and plug it in to the cord. This might work. You are right, Sony's webpage is bull sh!t.
Whatever you do, don't go to best buy or circuit city. You will get poked in the ass on price and sh!tty installation. You can buy it for a rock bottom price at
www.sbhcorp.com i think. I installed my deck myself as well as my minidisc changer, amps and subwoofer. This deck is easy as hell to install. All you need is to buy a ford harness and follow the color codes of the wires.
As far as speakers i would recommend, I would need to know your listening tastes. For bass I would go with the Cerwin vega 5x7/6x8. For sound quality go with the infinity 5x7/6x8. The pioneers 6x8 didn't impress me that much. They sounded dry to me. I am about to install separates from MB Quartz in the front and maybe some 6x9s (with a little adjustment) for rear fill. That will go nice along with my two 12" Kicker XPLs. These things thunder!
