At the beginning of the summer, there was a guy on here that did some detailing on a the side. My 96 SE MTX is truely in need of some lovin and I just don't have the time. Is he still around? Any recommendations for others? Also, I have two dings that I want gone, I am thinking paintless dent removal. Any thoughts or recomendations? Thanks

That looks great.javascript:void(0) I want my garage to be that organized when I finally get to have a garage. javascript:void(0) Now if I could just schedule some down time for the car it would be ideal. It goes from AA to Toledo everyday, and then it goes to S. OH or Chicago or somewhere almost every weekend since classes ended. Everyone is getting married, its like a disease thats spreading or something.

I think the original "paintless dent removal" people in the US are Dent Wizard. DON'T, I repeat, DO NOT use a "dent puller" that has you drilling a hole in the car or the ones that have you weld or bond a piece of metal to it and then cut if off and re-paint the area, unless you have to. Sure it will be less expensive initially if you did the work yourself, but:
1- Why would you want to drill a frickin hole in your car body and remove the factory rust protection on the metal if you don't have to? Even the weld on and glue on studs destroy the factory protection and weaken the metal.
2- You also need to look at the other side of the long-term picture. Are you experienced enough that if you do the work yourself the end result will increase the value of your car or will it decrease the value. Just food for thought.
If you're in AA, MI, and driving to Toledo everyday you'll have plenty of salt in the winter to pay you back for putting holes in your car and/or screwing up what little corrosion protection the factory does give you.
The Dent Wizard fixes work and if the person doing it is professional (that's a big if I know), then they claim they don't even mess up undercoating. If it weren't an inexpensive (overall) proposition then Auto Dealers wouldn't be using them as much as they do.
Also, you mentioned how busy you are. Dent Wizard in many areas will come to you.

I agree, I don't want to hurt that car's body any more than absolutely necessary. I'm worried enough as it is about the scratches on it. The car is from California, it's only been though 1 real winter here, and I want it to stay healthy so I can bring it back with me. I already had to get the door repainted because I did something dumb (make sure u chock the wheels when you jack the car up...). I want to keep it from rusting as much as possible. Thanks for your input.

I believe Stazi took his car to a paintless dent removal service about 15 mins away from Roger's house. markusSVT might know who he is too. I thik it was something like $75 or something like that. Send him a PM.
