i don't have a mtx but it's no where near in the way of the shifter. Anyway have you ever considered getting a cassette deck with md/cd controller? that's what i got so i can play my old tapes and md's
i'm not sure about the speakers tho. I'm goin get new ones this week. 6x8 is a strange size so i'd like to see what other ppl recommend to you as well. 6x9, 5x7, 5 1/4, 6 1/2
