The radio from my '98 Contour SE Sport was stolen last week and the theif cut the grey premium sound wire rather than just unclipping it like a sane person would do. I asked some guy in a parts department at a dealership and he said i sould have to buy the entire underdash harness for $400 bucks. I looked behind the glove box and took off the black plastic panel that the radio is behind and the cable isn't even part of the harness. Is this guy just trying to screw me or is Ford just being outrageously stupid? Any thoughts?

p.s. The cable has it's own parts number... wouldn't that imply it could be ordered individualy?

Congratulations,
Someone took the POS CD player and you get insurance money to buy an aftermarket one that is 10x better. Ok, sorry for the dry humor but if the part exists, call Bill Jenkin's - 800-282-2290. He works for the parts department at Sentry-South Lincoln - Mercury in Boston. If it exists, he can get it to you at the best price. He is a fellow CEGer and is always helpful.
