I don't think you'll have too much trouble with the Repair Installation option that I recommended. Honestly, I did it to a computer that had vital data on it, and didn't a lose a thing. Everything, minus a few device drivers that I had to update, worked great. After doing it, I would definitely recommend you visit windowsupdate.com and, as Vulcan suggested, update your Service Pack, as well as download the latest sercurity or hardware patches/updates for your o/s.
