The A is good, don't worry about it, maybe make the pin thinner though. If I saw that sign I'd have nightmares of people hammering railroad spikes onto my knees.
I'm guessing the A is accu and the dot would be puncture. I like it. Maybe some more attention getting colors would be nice. Try some others out
Interesting side note regarding acupuncture, it's not voodoo and it does work. My Grandpa was blinded with diabetes for the last 10 years of his life. My grandma would load him into the Mercedes and drive all the way down to California to see a specialist who performed accupuncture. After treatment, he would regain a little of his vision for a few weeks. It was never permanent and his vision was actually pretty fuzzy and horrible, but for a man that hasn't seen a sunset or his own grandkids that's a gift.
