I was told a while ago when i used to be into putting lights and [censored] on my car by a few police officers that anything besides stock was "technically illegal" if i remember right

in mass you are not allowed to have more than 2 pairs of forward facing lights on at one time.
so technically you can have your drivng lights and headlights on at anytime and be legal.
i always haev my drving lights on during the day and at night.

Right, so if you've done the "driving light mod"  (on with parking lights) be careful about tooling around with high beams and driving lights on. Then you have 6 forward facing lights on at the same time. Without the mod, the lights go off when you put the high beams on.

It was Rt. 2 West.
Ya know that  intersection by Alweife (SP?)? I had just come from Mass Ave. and went throught the lights and got on to Rt. 2W...right where it opens up from 2 lanes to three is where he stopped me.

Everyone is missing the point.
He pulled you over because it was 1:00am then, when he realized you were clean and he couldn't charge you with anything, he just let you go and gave you that lame excuse.
I got pulled over this week too, on the Everett Turnpike (Rt.3) in Merrimack by a young State Policeman.
I was doing my usual flight home between 85-95 passing any car in sight. He claims he had been chasing me since exit 7 in Nashua. He got behind me around exit 11 and pulled me over. I got no radar hit and he didn't really have a chance to clock me.
First he asked me the usual question: Are you in a hurry?
I said: Not really.
He wound up giving me a ticket for "Not using my Directionals enough".

You're right though about pulling me over cuz it was 1am. I was just about the only car on the road.
I was just happy not to get a ticket for the sticker...
Bedford is such a rediculous town. There's only 1 inspection station in the whole town! PITA to go somewhere else...

the state had big issues with inspection stickers fading last year.
they have since corrected it.
but if yours has faded they cant do a thing to you.
