Everyone is missing the point.

He pulled you over because it was 1:00am then, when he realized you were clean and he couldn't charge you with anything, he just let you go and gave you that lame excuse.

I got pulled over this week too, on the Everett Turnpike (Rt.3) in Merrimack by a young State Policeman.

I was doing my usual flight home between 85-95 passing any car in sight. He claims he had been chasing me since exit 7 in Nashua. He got behind me around exit 11 and pulled me over. I got no radar hit and he didn't really have a chance to clock me.

First he asked me the usual question: Are you in a hurry?
I said: Not really.

He wound up giving me a ticket for "Not using my Directionals enough".
