OBD1 vs OBD2, 96 and newer cars are the latter. 95 uses old electrics. But a pre 98 does work, as long as the car is OBD2.

hmmmmm,well my car is late '96,i think it has OBD2 as it has a plug in connector on the steering column-am i right in thinking this??

Wow, now u guys can see why I was confused about whether or not to get svt gauges and try them.... some say yes, some say no, so I just quit asking questions and gave it a shot... plus the svt ones are only back lit and I like el-glow better - just my $.02 - JOE
