I cut a 6" funnel in half (the long way) and use half of it sitting up under the filter to block the oil spills. Cool part is, I've got another funnel in reserve if I ever lose this one (if I ever get another tour). The first couple of oil changes sure were stinky though until I figured out the funnel idea....
