i am looking to share ideas with people into a more restrained understated performance look.
i know other members feel the same way, if you read the Cobra front feed back, there are alot of polite people saying "not exactly my taste . . ." that is code for: looks like a juvenile fiberglass speedboat. Next the monster wing will go on the back (of a front wheel drive car?!) kinda says it all - lookit me!! lookit me!!
what is your deal, to defend garish gaudyness? you would probably fit in better . . . . at an import tuner convention wet teeshirt beer drinking contest.
I just painted the chrome on the car. Want to be "stealth!"

Ok so now you're saying that you like the look of the rear-end...you just don't like chrome strip. That's a bit different then looking "out-dated and rental-carish". Honestly how much difference would a carbon fiber strip make? I really don't see the point in that but to each his own. You could paint it like others do and that would be that. But don't talk sh!t about my girl's ass when she's standing right there. Know what I mean? Maybe you should practice a very common phrase; it's not what you say...it's how you say it. Good luck with your ugly butt.

I molded in the gap where the ford emblem was, then painted mine black to match the lower valence. Sorry if this pic is huge.

And I thought the opposite. The only thing a pre-98 decklid should be on is an SVT. It just seems to go with the entire look better. Plus, with the strip in the pre-98s bumper it looked like a smiley face. A decklid swap took care of this though.
