I have had a similar problem. I think for some shops rebalancing is a quick buck and they don't take time to do it properly.

AFS Wheels has a good article on their web site about the Hunter GSP9700 Vibration Control Wheel Balancer with an explanation as to why this balancing method is so important to them. http://www.afswheels.com/v2/content/Default.asp?Page=75

hey guess what. the shop i went to for my hunter wheel alignment (never seen anything like that). also has a hunter balancer. i had picked up the brochures and checking now the model u listed, its the 9700. i feel good knowing that. i'm gonna have them rebalance my stock wheels/winter tires before i put them on and get rid of the ugly clipon weights.

Find a shop with a Hunter 9700 balancer (yes you may have to hunt for one)
This machince simulates the load of the vehicle on the wheel when it is being balanced.
It is also balanced at a much higher rate of speed. (I.E much more accurate!)
I had my new set of 225 KDW's balanced with one and not only are they smooth as glass but quieter to boot.
Quieter is a relative term as the KDW's are a fairly noisy tire (if you can hear them over the engine, exhaust and/or radio that is )

It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.

the shop i went to is the shop the speed shop in town sends all their cars to for alignments. the shop was familiar w/ lowered cars. i was excited when i saw they used hunter equipment. they were the first shop in ct or only shop in ct to get the hunter alignment setup.

Update: I got my tires balanced last Friday on a Hunter road-force machine. It cured about 80% of the vibration.
Coasting/cruising = smooth
Accelerating while turning right = smooth
Accelerating while turning left = vibration
Accelerating straight = vibration (less than turning left)
I'm wondering about some suspension component now, maybe I'll post this in that forum too.

Be sure to check out your front-end. Tie rods, ball joints...
A vibration through the steering wheel is usually related to your front axle. While a vibration through the seat, or floorboards is usually something from the rear axle. Cross the front wheels and see if that changes the vibration to the right side.
Your best bet (if you don't like the clip-on weights on the outside) is to use tapeweights. It's the best compromise between looks/ride quality.

Another thing that will cause a vibration is, if the tire is to wide for the rim... A guy I work with had 31x10.5 put on a set of 6in rims and they vibrated badly, he switched to a 7inch rim and the vibration has gone away... If you don't won't weights on the outside and staic balancing vibrates to much, then do an alloy balance, what they will do is use sticky weights on the inside of the rim at the face of the wheel and of course close to the inside lip too, so it is like a dynamic balance, but without the clip-on weights
