Anyone ever heard of JET performance tuning module ? http://www.i-5automotive.com/page6.html
I went at a local speed shop today and the the told me that it'll give me 30 hp
It's like a chip but it also bypass and control your ECU...
Anyone ever try it ?

i dont know about JET, but from what i understand, superchips if you put a programmer or chip in it, will ONLY work if you have a 160 degree thermostat......i dunno

Go Diablo all the way, I sell them through work and they make the biggest difference. One of my customers with a 95 zetec put in a superchip, then put in a diablo. More power and Diablo will retune the chip if your not happy. Not to mention the optional 2 stage chip you can also turn off.

Check it out at www.diablosport.com

ive heard that these chips dont doo much for 5spds. that they help the autos more in freeing up power that is lost through the auto tranny

I'll 2nd that emotion. The JET chip in my 97 Contour ATX really changes its personality. The couple times that I took it out, there was a definite loss of gonzo, even the wife noticed. It makes the ATX shift more aggressively, and (supposedly) retunes the engine for 89 octane.

My Brother has the Jet on his 98 CSVT and has a great hole shot and fairly good top end. Only complaint is a CEL.

I don't know about 30 Hp, but out the hole he beats my 2000 CSVT with headers and KKM. I will pass him in second and he can keep up but never catch me.

It's not the chip, but the tuner.

ONLY Diablow has tuner released software.

Any Stuporchip custom tuning has to be done by the dyno shop talking to a tech at Stuporchips and having them send them another binary to try!

Both chips when tuned properly (key word) will produce the same results (provided each respective chip maker has all the code figured out of course!!!)

However the Stuporchips will cost significantly more do to the extra time waiting on the dyno for repetitive exchanges and the large premium Stuporchips now charges for these "custom" burns.

Either chip in "generic" form (I.E. you bought a chip for "said" code) will give 100% mixed results. At best...

By ALL means skip Jet, WeaponsRice, and Venom add on chips...
