Some of the grits may be a little off but yes it does go all the way to 8000. we used it to make sure the canopies were without any visibility harming scratches. To let you know how smooth 8000 grit is, if you rub a dollar bill over the surface after getting to 8000 you will see scratches from the bill. I think this would work well.
Oh hi, I am stationed at Nellis AFB hehe, I work AGE but have some crew chief buddies that hook me up a kit now and then They work great one all your scratched plastic, cant say I have had to use them on the headlights, but have used them on my stero face and other stuffs
