Two tidbits on the poll. First, the longitudinal data was interesting in that we're seemingly more proud of our country now than in years past. Perhaps you could attribute part of this to 9/11; perhaps some would blame it on Clinton. I wonder if liberals and other left-of-center people were more proud of the US back then but because their person isn't in office are more disenfranchised now...?
Second, as I see it there is a difference between being proud to be an American and being satisfied with current policies. Just because I'm 100% behind the US does not mean I'm 100% satisfied with what is going on. IMHO it is the best show in town.
