heh, after reading that post, an older and more bigotted friend of mine had the following to say:

"Native americans, huh. What a bunch of tree hugging crap. Native Americans were all Canadians before that, Russians before that, europeans before that, and Iraqi's even before that. Historical perspective is nice, except for when you limit it to the last 400 years."
