wait when did ct start tint inspecting at emissions? mine was never done. when i bought my car it had tint and needed emissions inspections cuz i bought it in ny. and i believe they lied about the rear tint. the back window can be anything. it can be 1% if that dark is even made. technically the rear doors need to be at least 35 also, same as front. most will focus on front two doors. i just got caught in a stop check. i immediately rolled down my window (duh) and started talking to be nice. trooper immediately told me to roll up the windows. asked if they were legal. i said i thought so and pulled out the stereo shop receipt showing the front 2 were 35 and rears were 20. he pondered it a bit still checking out the car. gave me crap about me being able to get a certified tint sticker from the state. i played dumb like i never heard of that. he let me go there were people waiting behind me on the onramp
