I'm seriously considering selling my CSVT for an Integra Type-R. One of my friends has a Civic hatch with a GSR motor in it and there's just something fun about slamming gears at 10 grand. I'm looking at spending around 15k on the R. Anyone had expierances with these cars? There are a ton of people around here that will work on them real cheap and the aftermarket is huge.

Why shouldn't I do this!?

Ugly?!

I'd appreciate some replys with facts in them. I understand that not many of you like imports, but honestly I felt the same way until I rode in a fast one. It's a totally different type of car, and they're a lot of fun!

Yeah, that one you posted is ugly. Who the hell would pay that kind of money for that? I see it has the performance but still. So much else to buy for that money.

1.everyone has them
2.if they're like other hondas, no torque
3.money better spent on the contour which is already a good car

It's your choice though and you shouldn't ask people to talk you outta it. Go ask the same question on some honda board and you'll get different answers and in the end it's still up to you.

i love my SVT, but the only reason i can think of is that it's a much smaller car. my dad's 1990 Integra GS has about 190k miles on it with only a formerly nagging problem with the coolng fans. they would stay on when the car was turned off and drain the battery. but that's fixed now. other than that, it runs great!

i say go for it!
