There is a dark haired kid with glasses, in his house a bunch of little demons appear and then one huge one, when he knocks over the big one, it falls and breaks into a bunch of the little ones... Anybody know what I'm talking about?

As a kid my favorite movies were Star Wars (all of them), Princess Bride, ET, Neverending Story, TMNT, Overboard and The Three Amigos. We watched those all the time during the summer. There were others, like Transformers and the ever-cheezy Masters of the Universe (Courtney Cox and Dolph Lundegren), but those were the main ones where the tapes had to be replaced.

Oh yeah. And the kid gets an eye in the palm of his hand and ends up hacking at with a piece of broken glass. I remember that.

As a kid:
1. Star Wars 2. Jaws 3. Smokey and the Bandit
As an adult:
1. Forrest Gump 2. Star Wars 3. Jaws
Gump is such a poignant perspective on modern American history. It has the ability to illicit every emotion from triumph to tragedy.
Honorable mentions:
The Deer Hunter A Few Good Men The Shining Once Upon a Time in America The French Connection The Abyss Live and Let Die Dirty Harry The Thing (remake)
Semper Fi
