I worked for about 4 hours today. time and a half though. would have worked 7 hours but business was slow and it started raining. then i set off copious amounts of fireworkal materials. took about 2 hours straight of 3 people lighting stuff to get it all done.  lucky us no copiffers came by.

So I went to the party AND called up the chic, but I got owned like no other last night.
The party was for a chic who just graduated high school. A friend of mine I met through my coffee job who just got her own apartment. I was the oldest cat there and all the other kids were ready to pass out shortly after I arrived at 12.15 or so. I wished her well and bailed by one.
The chic I called had been out with a girlfriend of hers at some clubs and such. I told her to call me on her way home... around two. She didn't think I'd be awake as I had to be at work at 5.30a, but I've been wanting to hang out with this girl for a while. She's been a little flakey lately, but says she likes me and I kinda dig her, too. So I was going to sacrifice.
She calls me at 2.10 and says she's headed home. I asked if she wanted company and she said yes. Neither of us were intoxicated (at least she didn't sound it) and I didn't really want to hit it. I was kinda tired, but I really did want to just see her and maybe make out some.
I leave my place in time to make it to her place right as she's getting home. She calls me twice on the way to find out where I am and to see how much longer it'll be before I get there. When I do get there, her Honda is creaking and crackling like it had just been shut off. I knocked on the door and her dog, which stays out back when she's not there, was inside barking at me. No answer. I called her and also got nothing. I figure maybe she's in the bathroom. So I sit on the front porch and wait three or four minutes. Knock again. Call again. I go back to my car and sit on it for a few more minutes while I decide what to do. By this time, it's 2.45 and I need to either be sleeping or making quality time. I don't have the patience for this. I knock and call again with the same results. Forget it. I get in my car and go home and go to sleep. I expected her to call me halfway through the morning with an excuse. Nothing doing. Haven't heard from her.
She can F herself for doing that to me, but damn... I gotta give her props for owning me so hard. Go her.

That sucks. I cant say I had a bad night though. Theres nothing like getting hammered, playing with fireworks, and having some drunk boxing matches amongst friends. You dont feel anything when you get hit, but you sure feel it in the morning...  happy 4th!

my fourth started in old town alexandria around 3pm at a bbq, then around 8pm to see fireworks at my parents with a bunch of friends and brothers friends, then around 9pm this a$$ redneck from the area wouldn't stop driving his 4wheeler in my parents yard so after some words my friend and i threw his key into the woods and while he looked for it we flipped the ATV upside down, he pushed it home in neutral around 915pm, then back to old town for the bbq until 430am. good times
