Today is the day we won our independence from those damn Britons, the day we defeated the aliens with the help of Will Smith, and the day we're all supposed to cook burgers and hot dogs outside on a grill while we drink copious amounts of beer with friends we like to drink beer with.
But today, I'm not fighting redcoats and I'm not attacking alien space ships and I'm not barbecuing or drinking beer. I'm working. I'm working from 3 until 11.30pm and then I'm working tomorrow. No beer. No BBQ. Just work without double-time or even time-and-a-half. Just regular work. 
But don't cry for me, Argentina. I don't want your sympathy. I don't want your tears. I don't want your poor, your hungry, your tired masses. I only want to know who's with me. Who else took it up the butt today so others could live the American dream? Who else is a wingman out there and is stuck somewhere you don't want to be so that people who make more money than you and take more for granted can have this long weekend off and away from the monotony that endlessly plagues our lives? Tell me I'm not alone. 
I only post this to find out who my compatriots are so we can form a union... nay, a BROTHERHOOD of men and women who take pain and disgrace and throw it back into the eyes of our oppressors! We can give the man the finger and we can damn him! I say, we can DAMN the man, just as we damned those soddy Brits!

Word. I'm work from 4 p.m. until 1 a.m. today. No hanging out with friends, getting drunk, BBQing, just work. Oh, and get this - yesterday was my birthday, and of course, I have to work. EVERYONE took these days off and now I get to work my b-day and the 4th. When I asked for at least my b-day off, my boss told me that the other person that can do my job took the day off to watch her little brothers little league game...I F*CKING WORK ON MY B-DAY SO YOU CAN WATCH ONE OF YOUR LITTLE BROTHER'S SH*TTY LITTLE LEAGUE GAMES?!?!?! Ahhh, here's to getting shafted!

This has got to be the longest post you have ever made. At any rate, I worked 3-10 yesterday, and Saturday and Sunday am working 2-10. I got today off, lucky me ... spent it so far rewiring my radar detector (JonnyV style, for you NE-CEGers  ) and being on the 'net. It doesn't really feel like the Fourth at all.

I used to make some pretty long ones back in the days of defending Hondas and those streetracing arguments with Sandman and USMC stuff. I'm slowly making a comeback. Go me.

hah. i like this post. had some steam to let off. worked 6-11 a.m. and then had to be back at 4 to work til 9. of course i didnt get out on time. missed the fireworks and b.s. damn you home depot.
